Leaking Dometic ice maker

I had the water valve on my Norcold freeze with similar results so that is a place to look. Later I just had to replace the harvester due to leaking. Both are easy to do but the water valve would be my first bet.

I'm going to assume you're sure about it being the ice maker, but just for the sake of it, check and see if your drain isn't plugged.
Ours exits down under in front of the drive wheels.
Otherwise, buy your ice and keep it in the freezer.

I just got through replacing my supply line in a 2000.....it came out in pieces like a broken windshield...many, many pieces. I believe the problem is with the heater wire that runs next to it and the heat destroys the plastic over time, especially when the water is turned off and the fridge is still used. It was no biggie to do, but had to pull the fridge out and that is a pain..280 pounds. I actually used a moving dolly and built a pedestal on it so I could slide the fridge out on it and roll it into an area that gave me access to the rear. The sheath that the water line and heater ran through was not able to be used again so ran both through some clear tubing to keep the water line warm. Good Luck!!

Thanks all, for responding! Had no idea that I received these respondes until today, so sorry for late reply. Peaches and Cream's response was deleted so not sure what he had to say. Tommy G, DW is just like my wife. Losing the ice maker "is not an option" lol. I will head over to the rv today and figure out how to remove (unless you can give me an idea as to how to go about). Starting to wonder if I DID NOT properly winterize and therefore the supply line cracked. Errrrrgghhhhhh!

Mike, I'll venture to guess that you have the RM7732 model as do I. The most probable source of a leak is the supply line. Mine came loose from the back of the fridge about five years ago and we had pond in the floor when the overflow pan filled faster than the drain could handle it. Turn off or disconnect the supply line which is probably under the kitchen sink(That's where it is in my '98 Bounder). As peaches&cream said; You will have to get the unit out to access the line and connection in back. DW likes ours too much to just disconnect it.

If our ice maker has any problem, I am just going to remove it. Not worth the time or expense of fixing it.

If you can not adjust it so stop the overflow if that is your leak then go to lowes and replace it.

My only "wisdom" with an ice maker is to simply get rid of it. Disconnect it in the freezer, tie up the wires/hose and forget it.
Ours came with an ice maker and after the first trip, wife said it takes up too much room. Got 2 small ice trays and saves alot of space for food.
We get company....I buy a bag at the cg store. No biggie.
