Leaking Thetford Toilet

Getting ready to replace an internal part in toilet. Since the toilet must be pulled out, is it necessary to replace the flange seal prior to reinstalling?

  • Just completed that task yesterday. The replacement kit came with a rubber
donut for the toilet seal. An easy DIY job.
  • I just replaced he water valve in my Thetford and the kit came with a new seal. Not a terrible job and the kit came with instructions, good luck!

Might depend on what model Thetford you have. Mine is electric...no flange seal involved.

  • Yes, it is a good idea to replace the gasket. Many repair kits that require the removel comes with one.
