Leaky Seal
I was wondering if anyone had any experience (re)sealing the top on a class B? I am going to be painting it this week and wanted to take care of the seal issue before I paint.
Its a little hard to see in the pictures, but the black seal does protrude from the fiberglass top and the rain gutter on the van, so I don't really think caulk is a good option because of this. As you can see in the picture of the front above the windshield, it looks fairly flat behind the seal. Should I tear the seal completely out and then lay caulk where the seal used to be? I cant tell if the seal is actually sandwiched between the fiberglass top and metal body or not.
I do not want to get into a situation where I would have to remove the top. I am in the process of resealing the windows due to a small leak on the drivers side. Only one window is leaking but the caulking around the other windows will be replaced for preventative measures. I Am not sure if the seal for the top is leaking, but would like to take care of it before I paint it and would rather take care of it now rather than deal with it while camping down the road.
Any ideas?
