leaning rv

I have a 2014 Itasca 35F that has leaned to the right from day one. Don't tell me to weigh it, don't tell me to reload it don't tell me I need shocks. Surely someone else has run into this problem, all I want to know is how did you correct it?? Add leafs or have air bags which would be my last resort.
  • Tilt your head to the left when you look at it then hit the road and enjoy. Many gas coaches lean to the a little but it doesn't hurt anything.
  • Our 1999 National Tropical on the Ford F53 chassis had quite a lean to the right. We were presented with the leaf addition option, or adding airbags.

We opted to add the airbags on all four corners. A more expensive option but, it mostly fixed the lean and the handling on the road is night and day.

Before the wind could knock us a half a lane during a gust. After, I hardly notice the wind at all.

I put 90 #'s in the right bags, and 60 #'s in the left.
  • I recommend carry it to a reputable truck shop and get a professional diagnosis. They are able to properly correct the problem....lot of possible problems.
  • Add leaves. Take it to a reputable spring shop in the area and tell them you want your motorhome to sit level. In the truck world, many trucks are not sprung with like number of leaves on each spring. There can be many differences such as placement of hydraulic tanks, or a truck that uses a wing plow for example. And just recently saw the same number of leaves but one side was .5 inch thicker. So there can be lots of variations. Good Luck!
