I never drive more than 350 miles, preferably 300. If you are retired what is your hurry? I also never drive over 62 when towing or not. Safety first should always be the priority. I know many people like to drive 500 - 600 miles a day until they are ready to drop. We will stop at a rest area for lunch then arrive at our day's destination early enough to set up for the night. We then unhook the car and look for a nice local restaurant for our dinner meal. Back to the MH after dinner, rehook the car, get a good night's sleep and off by 9 the next morning or earlier if ready. Most RV parks have quiet hours so I cannot get outside to futz around too early. Aside from that a good night's sleep is always important for driver comfort and safety.
As a certified former RV driving instructor the above are lessons I taught all my students.
