If I had a receiver mount towbar instead of a ball hitch, it would be installed with a Grade 6 bolt and all-metal self locking nut. A 12 point nut, to be exact. The bolt head would be a Torx or Allen, perhaps with the "security pin" in the middle.
Some guy with 2 adjustable wrenches could not get the bolt out.
Sure, the guy with the cutting torch or cordless grinder could get the job done.
Of course, that is one advantage to the towbar I use: NOBODY wants it!
