My only comment in this mess would be to suggest the OP research Kalifornia's laws relative to residency. From his statements, it sounds like he'll be a Kali resident whether he likes it or not. Six months in their State makes you a resident. Working in the State, makes you a resident. I think if you breathe Kalifornia air, you're a resident if they can tax you for it....Dennis
