I also have a 2006 Free Spirit, have spent more than three months a year in it since 2010 - lots of miles - and could not be any happier.
Interesting you mentioned the cabinets. LTV's solid wood cabinetry is extremely well-fitted into the contours of the van and with 75,000 miles on it, all still aligns perfectly, despite a few trips down some mighty rough roads. The upholstery and other fittings are equally well made. Excellent workmanship lasts, which is probably why I have seen people pricing used LTVs like ours for more than we paid used in late 2010. (Who knows of course, what the final sale might be.)
I think you would also be happy with the fast and helpful customer service from the factory.
