After having numerous things stolen from my campsites I now don't leave anything. So, what do they take? My campsite!!! "Oh I didn't know there was anybody there, there wasn't anything left there so we moved in". I've even had rv park managers let people take our assigned campsite and when I complained, I was told "wellll why don't you take another spot?" This is even after I leave a bag over the post with our site number on it stating the site was taken. This has happened many times and one time when we were in Juno, Alaska, our site was taken and when we went to complain to the manager, we found the office closed for the day. The next day the manager said we would have to pay for the site anyway. That was when my face turned "beet red" and then said manager relented and gave my money back.
To you naysayers, there is no excuse for these people that try to take advantage of others and it's sad and troubling that some people try to excuse these thieving bad habits of others.
