Leveling Jacks Popping and Creaking

Yes we removed 1 quart with a siphon hose, added half a quart of Cat additive, extended the jacks, and then added the rest of the additive.
The popping problem has improved, but has not totally gone away yet. I'm hoping for the best.

In my case they only put in one half a quart and there was room for that in the tank.

In mine the jacks were not moving down at all. There was just a loud popping sound.
I was at the Frog (Forest River Owners Group) rally in Goshen IN last and sat in on a Lippert seminar where they were talking about there products. The introduced the man that had done the development on there levelling jacks. So I went up to him after the presentation was over and asked him about popping jacks. He told me that Cat had discovered a fix for the problem that he had a long name for. He then sent one of there men down and he added a half quart of the Cat additive to our tank and it slowly got better. Now on the Lippert web site the have detailed instructions on the procedures on how to install it.

It can occur at any time. We have been sitting outside, nobody inside and it pops and creaks. The other approved brands are Torco and Maxima. They are about half the price of the Cat brand, but this is one of the few times I chose to buy the most expensive which I hope is the best quality.

I was thinking that it was when you were extending or retracting them. Mine started doing it a bit ago when retracting and so I waited a little longer after dumping the air before leveling. Hmm nope was still doing it, so I tightly chocked the rear and front passenger side wheels and it went away. Mebbee the coach was shifting a bit and the jacks were cramping a little. It only seemed to pop when I had been stopped for a couple of days k r so.

This was an interesting post....I've never heard or read about this before, especially on here. Is the coach actually moving while you're walking around and the noise occurs, or is it happening when just sitting there.

Does anyone know the other brands that Lippert approved? Just Curious if Lucas Oil was one of them.
