Leveling jacks

The warning light that indicates my jacks are still down is on and buzzing. I have checked my jacks and they are completely up. Anyone have any suggestions?
  • Check the fluid level in the pump reservoir. Some jack systems use the fluid level as an indicator that the jacks are all up. You likely won't need to add much to bring it back up to the manufacturer specified full level.
  • Some have sensors on each jack. Try forcing each Jack up with a 2x6 when in the Jack retract mode. Otherwise one sensor needs adjustment or replaced.
  • You have 2 threads going on the same problem. Doug

Odds are from your model year you have an HWH 300 series system. If so, the manual states and is true, EVERYTIME, you start the engine you MUST push the STORE button. 300 series HWH systems, the road/chassis system heat can cause the HYD fluid in the lines to expand slightly and a jack may extend up to a inch and by having the unit is STORE, the system is in hibernation and IF this happens the system comes on automatically, opens the offending solenoid and the jack auto retracts BEFORE the system light and alarm sounds. • Another suggestion is when you hit retract do not press off. They will turn themselves off when the fluid returns to the reservoir.
  • Put jacks up and fill pump tank as full as possible. Many jacks leak a little when you don't use them all the time. In 12 years I've have had to do this twice and that's with 86k on the coach now
  • I'd raise and lower them several times. I've seen some sensors get dirt/lockup/springs loosened (depending on model) just by raising and lowering them about 10 times.
