Life span of typical roof air unit

We have the Dometic Brisk Air units on our 17 year coach and just this year had to replace the control modules in both and a blown start capacitor in one.

Covered storage, open air storage, humid climate, dry climate?? Lots of things likely effect the lifespan. My RV is 13 years old and both still work fine. I did replace the covers a couple of years ago as they were brittle and falling apart.

It really depends on where you are.
Here in Western Washington they will probably out last the RV 6~10 times but in Florida, who knows!

Our heat pumps are now 13 years old. They are kept clean and still working.
Thought I had a bad capicator a few days ago. It was jut one unit set lower on the thermostat.
We did replace a capictator two years ago.

Ours is 13 years old and we're fulltime the last 7 years and it gets used for both hot and cold it's a heat pump.

I doubt that anyone here can authoritatively answer that. I can tell you that the 22 year old A/C's on a previous RV we owned are still working fine. As are the 16 year old A/C's on our current coach.
