Long overhang and dragging hitch delima--solutions request

All I did was put a very heavy duty (several thousand pound capacity) caster wheel on the bottom of a ball mount that just plugs into the trailer hitch.

It rarely touches but when it does it works smoothly. I think it cost me about $30 and an hour of fiddling with it.
