Looking at a couple of new (used) motorhome options. Advice?

I've looked at various Class As in my price range, around 20k, and like the late 90s to early 2000s Rexhall like this one

However this DP caught my eye

I realize these are completely different animals, and while my wife prefers the colors and look of the Rexhall interior I know the DP is a much more substantial vehicle. My only worry is the cost of maintaining it. What do you think?

    I had a 2000 Rexhall Aerbus with the Ford V-10. It was a good unit and served me well. However if I was buying, I'd prefer the diesel. I've never been a big fan of Gulf Stream, but likely it has the cummins 5.9 or 8.3 engine, Allison trans with Spartan chassis....much better all around rig.

    Neighbor lady has this just listed yesterday I think? husband passed away and it has just been sitting. Not in bad shape at all. RV

    TiffenThis is the one I would seriously look at if you were in the market.

    Rexall is out of business, not a huge deal but between them being a very small company to begin with there is not tons of specific support out there.

    The Gulfstream DP looks nice, and the fact that it's a Cummins diesel makes it even nicer. The only drawback is that it's likely the old 275hp Cummins, which I hear was pretty much a gutless wonder.

    Agreed and understood. The diesel looks to be in good shape. I would pay for an independent inspection before buying it.

The condition of the specific rig, its engine maintenance history, etc., would be more important to me than the colors or small layout details.
