Are you going to tow anything. One thing I noticed with the short wheel base is that my tow vehicle would try to go straight if I put on the brakes during a turn. Felt strange at first but now I just brake on the straights before the turn and with the tow option the tranny does an awesome job. This all happened because I did not have a aux brake system on my tow vehicle which would make a huge difference and is required in most states. I ended up with the short RV because I have a tight turn for my RV to be able to make it in my 40x30 shop, if I could go bigger I would. The 26' vista turns so sharp I did a U-turn on a 4 lane road with the center lane towing my 20' boat. Wife freaked out but it was no big deal after I completed the turn. I really have not noticed much other handling difference between my 26' vs my dads 33' RV as far as side wind and the open road goes.
