I found my better results on craigslist...ads by owners- not dealers.
In AZ there is no sales tax on private party sales so a 9.3% saving over a dealer
roadtrekchapter.org has a classifieds section too.
I find great value is asking an owner and seeing how they treat their house and property...at a dealer they have no idea or interest in disclosing the history/concerns
the roadtrek and pleasure-ways are similar...i chose the PW, a chevy based lexor TD
2.) the genny is not super-awesome- it is like having a lawn mower in the living room...just noisy.
I figure fire it up, use the microwave...shut it off
I am hoping to camp places where AC is not required ( hoping) so that means mountains and sea shore
strategy is aiming to use more 12 volt...and 120 vac on shore power.
2 b.)some owners are not mechanically inclined, the genny requires maintenance. aside from oil and filter changes, it needs adjustment if at altitude ( simple, remove cover and..) and gas cannot be allowed to sit in the carb.
3.) youtube has some great videos from dealers in which the layouts and features are shown- this make for easy comparisons from your sofa.
