I used sections of 2 inch PVC screwed into the top of the long slide compartments tailored to five specific rod and reel combinations. Can't post a picture now as the RV is in storage. Each section is about 6 in with pilot holes drilled in the middle of each section. That allows them to move sideways to fit the rod tip and handles through.
