Looking for furniture covers for Winnebago Sightseer 35G

Stores like Bed Bath & Beyond will usually have slip covers that are generic (just throws that will fit almost anything), and they should be fine for your furniture.

We would also like to find a cover for our couch , tried some generic covers didnt stay. We need to protect ours from the grandheathens

Why are you letting dogs on the furniture. They make dog pillows.

My wife made furniture throws that she made from materials bought at JoAnne's Fabric Stores. They are real earth tone colors (Wildlife designs on them) that go real well with Winnebago colors.

Saw your post about covers for your couch on the 35g. Several things- We are in the process of purchasing a 35g as well. I love the design and it will work for us. My husband and I have 2 boys- our youngest (14) is autistic. we also have a golden retriever- currently 6 months old. I love the white leather but my husband says with the dog- if it gets scratched or dirty it will look terrible. I think the black is too dark. We want to order our RV and working with the dealer we asked if they can do the camel/tan leather in it. Not sure on that yet. Also I see you are in Alaska- that is our trip destination for summer 2014- if all goes well getting our RV.
Have you found covers for the couch? We were planning on a dog bed/pillow next to the recliner behind the driver for our dog. Any issues or tips on the 35g you can share?

Hi mernmb - Firstly we are very happy with the 35G. The floor plan is great and we have been enjoying it for the last few months. The dogs absolutely love it. Our one golden is a heat hog. So she loves laying on the small carpet area where the recliner locks into place. We turn on the fireplace and pull the recliner and table out, she goes and curls up over there very happily.

We have only had a few major issues but luckily there is a Winnebago dealer here in Anchorage and they are able to get us in right away. There work has been good. It just takes time to get parts shipped up here. The two main issues we have had are the leveling system and the bed. The leveling system is off and we are taking it in tomorrow to be checked again. The bed had a problem and would not lay out flat. The dealership put a switch in to move the stopper until the actual part came in. We have not had issues since then. I really don't remember the name of the part though.

The tanks are very well sized. We just spent three days at a campsite without hookups or dump site. There were no problems. It was cold and we had the heaters and fireplace running on propane almost the whole time.

The only thing that I can say that I don't like about the 35G is that the sleep number inflation/deflation only works when the generator is turned on. When my husband takes it in tomorrow he is going to ask if the switch they added caused this problem.

As for the couch covers, a friend of mine does a lot of sewing. She is going to make covers for us. We probably won;t get them until spring since the holiday season is her busy time with lots of craft markets.

We have been using a surefit loveseat pet cover throw for the center part of the couch. The sofa cover was just too long. The loveseat cover fits nicely. Then we use fitted sheets to drape over the rest. We are constantly adjusting them but they keep the couch clean and free from scratches. I got some bucket seat car seat covers for the driver and passenger seat and they fit very well. For the recliner I got a standard recliner seat cover. My friend is going to sew up the excess fabric. This will save time since the cover already has the elastic band that fits around the seat well.

It would be interesting to try the surefit furniture waterproof couch cover that is the last item on the page that taigarazz shared above. It looks like it has a strap around the back to hold it in place.

We have not had any issues with scratches or tearing of the leather. It is very durable. We just want to get the couch covers to keep it that way.

I assume you have the white leather? Do you have the king or queen bed? We would prefer a queen- a little more room to get around when you make the bed and a little larger side table for the clock etc.
My husband is saying that spot your dog likes is exactly where our dog will most likely end up. Did you buy it there in Anchorage? We are looking so forward to getting ours but looks like we will have to order it for the features we want. Hopefully we can work it out in time to get to Alaska this summer.

We did get the white leather. The interior is the black and white fabric. The pictures online made it look dark but it is not that dark in person. The bed is a king and there are no problems walking around it and there is room on both sides of the bed for a clock, book or whatever else you need to keep next to the bed.

We purchased our RV from Camping World RV in Longmont, CO and my husband drove it up here. It was over a $10,000 savings to purchase in Colorado versus Alaska. The dealership here even had a 2013 model but would not lower the cost. Longmont had a 2014 with every option included. We also worked with a dealership in Arizona but the taxes there put it out of our price limit.

As for the options, we did not need the washer and dryer but the model came with it. We have only used the outdoor entertainment center a couple times. By the time we got it up here to Alaska it has been too cold or wet to sit outside.

When purchasing make sure they install an inline filter for the inverter. We are still waiting for that item to arrive as part of the warranty. Without this filter the TV makes a buzzing noise when the inverter is on. There are no problems when you are running the TV off any other power source.

Any upholstery shop can make custom covers in your choice of materials. We had them made for our two couches out of washable material that matches our coach's color scheme. Not too expensive and they are made to stay in place and fit like a glove.
