Thanks for implying that I don't know how to drive an RV. After 20+ years of fulltiming (truly, traveling and no home base) and over 300,000 miles of driving I'm pretty sure I know how to drive. However, pulling off at a random exit because Gas Buddy says that exit has cheap gas will not ensure that you find a gas station your RV will be able to easily maneuver in and out of.
I am on a time schedule as I travel on business and getting from point A to point B as quickly as possible is top priority. Using truck stops to save time, and possible frustration, is well worth it to us.
Let me think, who said they might gouge the side of their RV?? If you worry about that you can't drive. 25 years patrol no accidents, 750K in 75ft commercial, no accidents. Crew cab with 35ft trailer 3/4 time 5 years, no accidents. If you can drive there is no worry about gouging something driving in a fuel stop. Sorry you have to work and are in the fast lane, did that, now it's time to slow down and enjoy what I made in the fast lane.
