- sawellmanExplorerI have Power Gear hydraulic jacks on my 2004. (I had the Atwood jacks on my previous RV and loved them. They worked great and did have plenty of throw to lift & level the RV).
My experience so far with my Power Gear jacks is that they dont seem to level the RV that effectively. I repogrammed the auto level feature twice. Still same experience: only levels RV if it is sitting on a flat, level surface.
It is almost as if the jacks run out of the ability to extend and the system cant do anything more and does not ultimately level the RV.
I believe the 2004 Pace Arrow's had the Power Gear jacks and the 2005 had the Atwoods. For those of you with Power Gear jacks what has been your experience? - LobstahExplorerSawellman,
Welcome to the forum, and congrats on your Pace Arrow. My 2005 has Atwood jacks on it. Are you saying your 04 has something different?...or that the Atwoods don't work as well as you'd like?
There is a procedure in the manual to "re-sequence" the jacks. Perhaps that is the issue? Initially, we thought the system in our 05 would auto-level. It does not. What it WILL do is automatically return to a previously "saved" setting...which I guess is usefull if you consistantly return to the same space, which we do not.
That being said, I can pick my axles up off the ground so that there is a good 3" under my wheels, both front and rear, if I extend my jacks all the way.
I use the level app on my iphone, sitting on the counter, to get level :)

I have an initial question for teh group: Can you share with me any tricks or special ways to get the Jacks to work more effectively (Power Gear, hydraulic)?
The jacks on my RV do not seem to provide that much throw to be able to level the RV on anything other than a flat, level surface. If it is on any type of slope the jacks seem to get fully extended without being able to level the RV.
In addition, can you level the left front and right front independently?
I had Atwood jacks on my last Fleetwood and they were great at leveling the RV on all types of conditions. The Power Gear system seems extremely limited in the actual throw or capability to level on anything other than a flat, level surface (which is rare at most campsites).
Any tricks anyone can share? Or, are my jacks possibly not working properly? Or, are there upgrades or modifications that anyone has made to get better capability out of the jacks? - LobstahExplorer

Had a mouse problem and solved it by installing sonic pest repellers in strategic locations to prevent entry. I finally installed 2 sonic pest repellers to blanket the underside of the RV pad. No mouse problems since. This solution does require that you have an AC power source for the devices.

Jim - saberExplorerWas running our coach the other day prepping it for an upcoming trip. When I shut everything down, I could not get the coach batteries to disconnect. Normally you can hear a click when you press the disconnect switch. But no click and power is still available, for example, to the steps. Any ideas? Is there a fuse somewhere that might have blown?
- saberExploreri replaced mine a couple of years ago and installed a SHURFLO Extreme Series Smart Sensor 5.7, Series 5900. Purchased through Camping World and took about 45-1 hour to install. Does not run continuously and shut off at no flow. Very pleased with pump.
- Fyr_guyExplorerJust got to central California and my water pump gave out. It's not running and leaking like a sieve. I installed my inverter w 2 additional batteries in the compartment next to the steps where the pump is so I can't see what model # Shurflo it is, can anyone help a brutha out???

I thought so. You will have some tax and labor but still the best deal I could find anywhere. They sell alot of them, so they are in stock and new tires, they have not been sitting around for who knows how long on a shelf in the backroom. - LobstahExplorer
