- wa0mqeExplorerIf you use the AC Delco it's part # PF1218, which you can get at most Auto Supply stores.
- Fyr_guyExplorerI remember someone previously posted about extending the struts on the basement doors to enable one to open the doors higher, rather than go through all the pages of this thread I thought I'd throw this out to the group, anyone remember?

What is the recommended oil filter for my 2001, Pace Arrow, 37C? I have the 8.1 engine.

Anyone had problems with leaks after having their awning replaced?
bricot, are you talking about the awning you had replaced on your kitchen slide out? I haven't had any problem with my replacement but have not been in any heavy rains since. I don't see how that could cause water where your having the leaks??? Wierd. Keep us updated.
Thanks,
Pat - bricotExplorerAnyone had problems with leaks after having their awning replaced? I had a leak test done earlier in the summer which they reported not finding anything. Took it out this last weekend and we had some pretty big leaks around the skylite between the door and kitchen, the light by the skylite and a couple of the a/c vents in the roof in the same area. Haven't had this problem before in the nasty rain, trying to figure out what may have changed.
I'll take it in monday for another test, if they don't find anything I will have them re-caulk everything on the roof... - seatecExplorerThats good news Dillon thanx. i think i might just spring for the propane cost and keep the MH from freezing and ready to go. wish there was a way to have one alerted whe the propane is about to run out. Also wonder how much propane is needed to warm the coach and what temp to keep it to stop the line freeze.

We have taken our motorhome at Christmas time to my inlaws, so we can sleep in our own beds and have some down time. Since it may get quite cold during December, we have always just left it winterized.
My question is, if we decided to put water in the tanks and just use it for the 3-5 days and then re-winterize, is the pace arrow built to keep everything from freezing? We obviously will be running both furnaces and keeping the inside around 70 degrees. If the temps get to 10 degrees below zero, the furnaces have always kept us plenty warm inside, but will it keep our water lines open???
thanks,
bob
The Pace Arrow also heats the basement area when the furnaces are running. - wa0mqeExplorerI'd be a little concerned about the water lines going to and coming from the water heater. At least on my '04 36B PA the lines are not in a heated compartment. If you look where your water heater bypass value is located, mine is accessed by the outside bay door just behind the right rear duals. Part of this area only has a thin piece of sheet metal between it and the outside. I would think one would need a small portable electric heater, a heat lamp, or some of that electric wrap around the lines.

We feel your pain with all your PA problems. Sometimes I wonder if PA stands for Pain in the A** instead of Pace Arrow. We also have a problem with the rear jacks never wanting to retract all the way up. Now I spray the rear jacks with a silicone spray just before we retract them. It still takes a little while but they eventually do go all the way up with the assistance of the silicone spray. We've complained to the dealer about this but they can't find anything wrong.

- There are two zerk fittings on the rear jacks. I used the silicone for years. Once I found the fittings and loaded them with a grease gun, the jacks worked fine.
Thanks for the tip. We will certainly try this in the spring.
