Installed a new television recently in a different place than original. The old set (square, picture-tube-type, analog set) is mounted in the front dash between the passenger and driver. I will be removing it, and am looking for suggestions on what to do with that huge gaping hole that will be left. I'm sure I'm not the first to do this, so if anyone has any photos they can share or a good description of how it was modified for a good use, please share. Thanks!!

I put the new tv in there and made a nice spacer to match.

Storage for items needed while driving.Sunglasses, cough drops, wet wipes, maps etc.finished area with luan plywood.

Mount a tablet in there and use it for navigation.

That makes a grate storage area. Our MH came as a storage area over the front top area.

I saw a top of the line Class A at a dealer in St. LOuis that was purchased for some traveling preacher type and both TVs had been removed and those slatted push/roll up type of doors like were used in old kitchen cabinets were mounted to make nice storage areas.bumpy

Quick and easy is an extendable curtain rod and a small curtain over it and storage for things like extra blankets.

I built a double door on my last coach. Moved the CRT TV out and now there's a nice storage in its place. Stained the wood to match the rest of the interior cabinets.

I replaced the dash mounted TV with an electric fireplace. Has worked well as auxiliary heat in the winter in Florida/Texas.

We were on the road for six month last winter and were always looking for more wine/liquor storage. We ended up with a box that floated around on the floor up front. If I had your space, I would convert it int a wine locker.

I moved my front TV to a drop cabinet across from the couch. I rebuilt the corner where it was it a matching overhead cabinet.

I have the same set up. My thought was to remove the old TV and put a door on the front, mount the new flat screen on the door and use the gaping hole for storage. I did this in the bedroom for my GS to play X box while we traveled out west last summer. With the new TV in the front you can use it as a large gps screen also if you have a gps app on your iPhone or tablet.
