Looking to upgrade to a class A from 77 VW Campmobile

Single retired guy looking for a new/used Class A in which to set up as permanent home. Any recommendations as to brand of motor home would be appreciated. 32-40 foot, gas or diesel. Have looked at Thor, Winnebago, Fleetwood, Forest River. I would like something reliable for going south in winter and back north in Minnesota's all too short summer. Started my RV career in a 1966 VW Campmobile. It's a bit small for full time living but it is really fun to drive. Thanks for your help.
