Lost keys...

I've lost one set of my keys to the MH. Along with other keys, it has the two keys to the door and an ignition key. I'm not out of business since I have another full set. But, I've got to have a backup set and that's what I'm missing. It's on an F53 chassis, 04 Itasca. I went to Ace Hardware and they told me they did not have blanks for the MH door. I haven't had a chance to check elsewhere but beginning to wonder if it's going to be impossible to replicate those keys locally. Has anyone else had similar MH keys made or will it be necessary to get new ones from Winnebago? Any advice will be appreciated.

  • Any real honest to goodness locksmith will have what you need.
  • Anyone who cuts keys can cut the motor homes keys as long as you have the correct blank and a key to copy. I had to go to a large RV dealer to get blanks several years sgo. Some large lock shops in areas that have lots of RVs may have them as well. Ask a dealer where they get their keys made.
  • Ace hardware will carry key blanks for the most common locks that they experience. You would probably do better contacting a locksmith in the area to see if they can help you.
