This is exactly what I was going to write. When our detector was new, I dropped the coach off in our storage garage and forgot to plug it in. Being an all electric coach with just the fridge on, the genny kicked on to recharge the batteries.
Three days later when I went to check on the coach, I found my error. The bedroom detector kept sounding even after pulling the coach out and allowing fresh air to move around.
I read somewhere after the detector has detected something, is to vacuum them out and reset. That worked like a charm. And, I never made the mistake of leaving the coach unplugged.
