LPG assistance

This has not happened to me but it is an I've been thinking category inquiry. If my onboard LPG tank were to go empty and there is no means to refill, is there a way to take a 20 lb. portable tank and tie it into the system via my onboard 40 lb. tank? Just wondering. Thanks McD
  • Thanks to all. I have a valve off of my tank with for a grill hitch up before the regulator. I should be ok?? RIGHT???
  • An additional benefit of some models of the Extend a Stay, Stay a While, ect Tees is that they have an addition port/hose to connect a BBQ grill.
  • Install an "extend-a-stay to your large propane tank. During the winter
we have three 20# tanks that we use. Fill the large one before settling down
for the winter so it is ready to go when we hit the road again. Leave the
    20#'rs at the RV Park.
  • The added 20 lb tank will supply everything in your coach with possible troubles with propane generators.
Some of them are liquid powered and even when they work on vapor -high draw might "freeze" small tank.
    Other than that no problema
  • Thanks for asking that question. I've been looking for a solution to that issue. Just ordered my Sturgi-Stay Deluxe!

Will this run my water heater, fridg etc. as well? McD

With a portable propane cylinder connected via the 'adapter' you close your propane tank valve, open the adapter valve and the propane will flow into your LP System thru the regulator and to all of your propane appliances.

You can then run your fridge, water heater and/or furnace until you run out of propane.
How long is dependent on size of the portable propane cylinder you have attached.......20#, 30#, 40#, 100#
