Magellan's customer support was of no help at all, and finallt they said "the problem was an "isolated incident" and would refer it to their engineering dept. and then stopped communicating!
Not sure how it can be an isolated incident when I had the same problem with three new units in a row!
Anyway, I do NOT recommend that anyone purchase a Magellan product, because their customer support is worthless if you have a real problem.

I completely agree with everything you said ZenBob. I have a slightly different model of Magellan RV GPS and I have experienced everything you have.
I use a Apple Mac computer and Magellan does not support the Apple operating system any longer. Their "Content Manager" internet program will no longer work on the Mac. Even their new internet site "smartgps eco" does not work well with the Apple operating system.
They advertised lifetime free map upgrades, but that is no longer available. I bought the Magellan back-up camera system to go with my gps unit and it is so intermittent it is useless - no help from customer service on that either. I will never buy another Magellan product.
