Magellan GPS

I have only owned Garmin GPS's, and never a Magellan. However, over the weekend I purchased a Magellan 9212T-LM at a garage sale simply because it was a 7", and extremely cheap. It seems to be a decent unit but I need two bits of information.

1. Is there a program to compose a route, then install it on the gps similar to Garmin's Map Source?

2. The GPS is still listed for sale online and the ads lists Bluetooth capability. I have looked at the online manual but there is no mention of either.

Any info would be helpful.

    I just bought a new garmin rv, I have never owned anything else

    I have a Magellan and I like it just fine. Had a Garmin and sold it (at a garage sale because Garmin charges for map updates). Magellan don't. I have lifetime downloadable upgrades with mine. Mine has the built in dashcam too.

    I think Garmin's are overpriced and like you, I like the screen size. At my age, squinting at a tiny screen don't cut the cheese anymore.
