We currently own a 40' DP, until a few months ago we also owned a 33' TT. While not a 5th wheel, a trailer nonetheless.
For my money, I'll take the DP every time. It is sooo much easier to maneuver, park, place, move - everything, than the TT was.
Modern DPs have a 55 or 60 degree wheel cut. They will almost move sideways. Many times we've pulled into a place that looked tight and parked with no issues at all. More than once we've opened the door to neighbors clapping - Gods honest truth. I'm not that good - it's that easy.
