- OpenRangePullenExplorerThey all should be 5,000 pounds with a 500 pound tongue wight.
- past-MIdirectorExplorerThe Fleetwood gas all that size and up are 5000lb hitches.
- Blaster_ManExplorerThis has been posted before, but here's the correct answer:
Work the numbers, the tow rating is the lower of....
1. GCWR minus tow vehicle's actual weight.
2. Hitch capacity.
3. Coach tow rating.
4. Chassis maker's tow rating. - rk911Explorer

What is the max towing capacity for a 2004 Fleetwood Southwind 32 ft.?
a guide would be the difference between the GCWR and the GVWR. but...in general, the maximum amount of weight you can safely tow will be the lesser of the following:
• the GCWR (gross combination weight rating) of the MH minus the actual weight of the MH as it is loaded for travel (includes fuel, fresh water, food, clothing, people, pets, supplies, eyc)
• the weight rating of your tow bar
• the weight rating of your hitch
this is why it's vital to know what your MH weighs as it is loaded and configure for travel before choosing a toad. Your MH will not collapse if it is overloaded but you will experience handling issues as well as longer braking distances and accelerated wear on suspension, brakes, steering, etc. - wildmanbakerExplorerThe tow capacity is 5,000 pounds, with a max toque weight of 500 pounds. This is with a 20,500 pound chassis. My receiver hitch is a 10,000 pound unit, but it limited to what Fleetwood certified it to.
