Maybe transfer switch bad?

I didn't want to hijack the other thread running on transfer switch. 1999 Monaco Diplomat. The inverter shows 30 amps when connected to 50 amps.
I have zone 1 and zone 2 on thermostat.
I should be able to run both air conditioners at the same time, right now I can't.

  • You can have two 120 volt circuits, but if they are on the same "phase" your EMS will see only 120 volts indicating 30 amp connection.

Doug, The panel i'm referring to, is just above the passenger seat, it has the switch to open the slide and a couple of meters, shows the battery charge level.

When connected to the pedestal we did verify 2 120 volt circuts.

    Thanks all for your help.

  • If you do have and Energy Management System can it be set to different AMP services i.e. 20, 30 or 50amp service? If so is it by chance set to the 30amp service setting?
  • Have you confirmed the shore connection is 50 amps and not just 30 amps??

  • The second AC unit could be on the other "phase" of the shore power.
You say the "inverter" shows 30 amperes. Do you mean the energy management system? If so which energy management system do you have?
It sounds a though the source sensor is not showing the 50 amp. If the two "phases" are not 240 the unit will think it is a 30 amp shore powwer and shed the second AC unit.
