- Cu2ExplorerIn the meantime.
Needing signage so have ordered these banners. As I have to move fast they were quickly designed, I hope they will be all right to start with.
It would be great to have your feed back so I might be able to improve on them next time. - Cu2ExplorerUnder stress now must have it finished in a couple of weeks, first job booked. Have to get it good enough for council approval. The stress os high.
The gas container. Oh my - now I can't delay it any longer. No turning back the biggest hole yet.
After my sanding smooth all bare metal, rust proofing, the sikaflex comes on hoping now that it will stop water entering into the cavity, the black plastic deco running all the way along van does not stop water from entering behind it. Once the box goes in I have no way of checking that cavity area. I can't take the deco bummer off either, if you look at the other door (WC) stops me from doing that.
Note how much metal I had to take away. Scary very scary.
Gas man came this last wednesday - all appliances A ok Oven Fridge and HWS. Done just waiting on Certificate of approval. - Canadian_RainbiExplorerI have enjoyed following your posts so far and hope to see it through to the end. Far more than I would ever have considered. Whenever you get discouraged, check out this guy's thread.

Benchs still covered with protective plastic. A lot of finishing work to do yet. But I am leaving that when majors are completed.
Working now on partition to cabin and shower door. Took a little imagination but now I've found a simple method so that the shower can't be entered when in food area which will be accessible only from drivers cabin doors. Obviously so that it will not be in use during trading hours or prep.
Now in fact we have mains power supply. Running hot and cold water.
Shower is working but haven't sealed it so can't try it out yet.
Gas man coming to fit piping soon, still have gas container to fit and gas man wants 4 fitted vents to approve it! HOLLY camper. - Cu2ExplorerWater tank
So far the most painful job it was terribly crampy, also like taking your very last pullup before you collapse. The weight of the drill trying to squeeze it in impossible places took me a couple of broken drill bits and several more hours with tears, pain and frustration.
Water Filler
Little did I know but it wouldn't open. Couldn't work out why. It wasn't till I took it of and had a good look, the hole was stopping the opening mechanism, a bit more to be cut rust proofing fit and now it's working ok.
Shower drain.
Water gauge.
A must have so you don't run out of water or at least you see it before you do. - Cu2ExplorerPosition oven.
Fridge
After which the air flow at the back of fridge must be as described in manual.
2 baffles to make air flow more efficient.
I also insulated the area so that the heat from pipes wouldn't leak into RV.
Vents bottom cold air in and top warm air out.
Bench 1
Sinks
Tip - Bain marie dishes! RV Sinks cost $75 upwards bain marie dishes $20! - Cu2ExplorerThanks Darrah and everyone for your incouragement. Gets quite depressive at times. Been working on this almost full-time since November,
Next fridge, stove, benches, sinks. - DarrahExplorerLooking good!

Here we go - MODIFICATIONS again. Due to the thickness of walls nothing fits. HWS needs to be raise off the floor to get the flue for gas 1/2 way in a descent place so it sits flattish sort of plus the flue needs a special extension $100 for that!
Now the flue - modify to fit. Cut, cut try and try again. Its getting very short. eek.
Dremel does this job nicely, but need to change blades, nothing unusual about that. The smooth finish was then done with an electric sander.
Now the pump and water hoses. - Cu2ExplorerTodays work. Wiring connection.
Photos - Behind the drivers seat and other side of shower. Just for your orientation.
Insulated - realising that the insulation is a conductor! Needed to make provisions.
Behind the holes I will be cutting will be a little ply panel so that It never contacts the silver insulation material.
Ok installed 2 x 4 power points and 1 double. Still have to buy and fit inlet for the generator. Plus finishing touches needed just about everywhere.
First try out - BANG - blew the breaker and the house breaker. Dad came running after seeing a flash in the house! I saw where the flash came from so was prity sure I knew where the trouble might lye. A junction further along. Which an electrician suggested I use foam to stop it from moving and eventually coming free. Well that was a diffecult task trying to get the wiring free enough to inspect and rewire it. Test - Yes it was the foam - conducting the junction wires. Took the junction apart joined it directly to power point (in then out) to the the next power point. Time for new test all ok all working! :-)
