MH tire PSI conflicting info

The Yellow capacities sticker in my 31' MH lists cold Max PSI at 85 lbs. for all tires, but the Ford chasis sticker lists max PSI at 82 lbs., at the same load capacities. I know it's not much difference, but I was considering lowering the PSI slightly as I'm a little under max GVWR. Which numbers should I use? Any suggestions?

Thanks for all your help.
  • The yellow sticker... Does it say max psi or recommended PSI? The stickers I have seen show the recommended PSI and are based on the max axle weights for the tires on the mh when it left the factory. The only max PSI I remember seeing is on the sidewall of the tire. If you know the weights of your MH then look up the recommended PSI from the tire manufacturer, which I suspect is about the same as what Fleetwood recommends.

I don't carry a lot of stuff other than the DW's shoes and clothes, but that's a different story. I use what's on the sticker from Thor which matches what I get when I check the Michelin numbers.
  • What does the tires say and what weight are you carrying on each axle? Then go by the tire manufactures load charts for proper PSI.
