- wildcomfortExplorerBurn it all. Just kidding, bleach water combo will help if they haven't stained it or made home to an extreme level. I had to strip out the carpet in ours completely.
- super_camperExplorerThe only way to get rid of the odor is to replace everything that smells. Try what you want but replacement is the only thing that works.
- rockhillmanorExplorerProbably not what you want to hear but it is nearly impossible to get rid of the smell of dead mouse and/or urine in an RV. When I was looking to buy a used RV I came across 3 of them that had mouse smell and it was bad. All three owners where selling them because they could not get the smell out. :(
Ripping out the carpet might help. But if they were in there any length of time the particle board underneath will be permeated with the urine also. Bleach is recommended by the CDC.
Also be careful as mice carry HPS and fleas. Just last year several campers where sickened when tents at a CG had mice droppings and urine.
This explains the health issue of HPS and how to clean up from the CDC.

Sorry I don't have good news to offer but IMHO it is prudent to be informed to protect your family in the small confines of an RV. Good Luck - eric1514ExplorerGo to a petshop like Petco or Petsmart or your local shop and buy a product made by "Nature's Miracle" for eliminating cat urine odors. It is an enzyme that is safe and very effective. It comes in a pump bottle you just spray on and will work on mice and rat smells also.

- Mike_LeslieExplorerOh yuk! Vacuum up all the "black rice." Wipe everything down with vinegar water, and using vinegar in a carpet suction-type carpet shampooer?????. Sprinkling everything with baking soda overnight for a day or two afterwards. Vacuum that up.
Years ago we had that happened in our cottage. Stinky!! Let us have updates on the cleanup.
