I agree. We should kill everything that poses any possible threat whatsoever to humans and their possessions. If we are diligent, we can eventually eliminate everything other then us. And we're doing a darn good job of it as it is. With a few billion more of us, we will certainly win.

Spring is here, and for the 7th year, no mice in the MH, thanks to my pure peppermint oil smell throughout the rig. And yes my MH is stored in a barn in the country with mice in the barn. AND, my MH smells great!! :)

I did the same thing but I forgot about where the power cord enters the RV. Still had mice. Then I sealed around the power cord, no mice since then, about 3 years.

I then turn on all of the lights in the RV and have an additional spotlight at night, I then crawled under the RV at night with a can of Great Stuff expanding foam insulation looking for any light that is shining down and fill in those openings from below. Reminds me of one time when I had some traps set and I hadn't checked them for a couple of days. I checked the traps and found one with a partially eaten mouse in it. I got rid of the remains and reset the trap. Next day I caught the other mouse. I guess it preferred mouse meat to cheese.

If you show no mercy or humanity to the animal you are trapping and killing, then how are you any different from an animal?

There's no justification to torture any animal to death, or act excessively cruel when the means are there to put the animal out of its misery or minimise its suffering. Preferably with a cinder block when it comes to glue traps, because they can last a long time on those. And contrary to your experience, a lot of time they do NOT suffocate so quickly. Those are the lucky ones.

So when using these traps, at least have the decency to kill the animal first before throwing it out. They might be filthy animals, but hey, so are human beings. Glue traps are inhumane and I'd never recommend them.

Honestly, that is not much deterrent.

Maybe not. I'm just remembering the problems my father had with his Class A parked in a grass field out at a farm.

Mine is parked in a desert by comparison. Now the storage facility is surrounded by woods, so there may be some hardy rodents who want to risk scampering across the floodlight-lit parking lot under the watchful eyes of the owls, but we have not had a problem in 6 years. Maybe the mice go for the nice newer rigs. :)
