Mice in Ceiling

We recently bought a camper and found a large mouse nest in the ceiling. We made some additional holes in the ceiling and we were able to remove the majority of the nest that we are aware of. But there are still some places where there is mouse poop. My question is if I should remove all the ceiling panels and replace them. Or if once the smell is gone, which it nearly is, if that is sufficient?

  • I would be much more concerned with fixing the issue that allowed mice to get inside the camper.  That's just me.

It would bother me. Depends on what a trace is though. If only the odd scattering here and there I would let it all dry out and continue on. I would have fans pointed at them holes you drilled if possible, or partially drop a panel and get a fan blowing there.

Them mice are ruthless and will fight hard to get back up into that ceiling.

  • I vote for leaving half the mice smell and partial corpses as a warning to other mice.

  • OMG. Some of the questions from the “serious” posts are better than spam…..

    Good grief
