I went to the tire guy last Tuesday (2-18). They were out of stock for the MS2 and have been backordered from the factory. He called Michelin while I stood there. They told him it would be "weeks" before they could get tires. He put me down for seven tires and we are now waiting.
He told me that the regional Michelin rep told him a few days earlier that they were just overwhelmed in certain parts of the country and that the factory was trying to switch some other production over to the replacements.
Of course I want to replace the tires because it is a safety recall, but the incidence of deflation was such a minimal amount when the recall was announced, I am not afraid to go ahead and use them. I plan on checking them often for deflation and degradation. Lots of folks on this forum have tens of thousands of miles on their recalled tires and have experienced no problem. So, yes I will replace but no, I will not mothball my C until I get the new ones.
