I checked, they are pre recall. That's what started this idea to remove them. I noticed some potential issues. Tires will go to the farm for off road use.
Depending on the age of the tires (less than 6 yrs), it may be worth trying to get something out of Michelin. I had the A/S on my truck with 10k miles and 1-1/2 years when the sidewalls (both sides) started to crack. I went to a STS Tire & Auto and they took care of getting 4 new tires under prorated warranty. The bill came to $1295 and I only had to pay $208 for 4 brand new M/S2s.
