Since the early 1980's I used Dunlops on my Van and in 2001 this one came with GY Wranglers that were replace with Cooper Discoverers. I just put Michelin LTX MS/2 on my Van last week and they seem a good tire. Today I put on a set of Michelin MXV4 on our two month old Sonata LTD to replace the crappy KUHMOs that came on it. On the flip side in the last month I replace the GY Marathons on our trailer with a set of the KUHMO 857s so I've been playing musical tires here for the last month or so.

My '07 Honda Accord EX-L came standard from the factory with the MXV4. They were a noisy tire and were outright dangerous in the rain. They would hydroplane over the smallest of puddles. I hope your results are better.
That opinion is not common among most consumers LINK since serious and documented hydroplaning issues would have resulted in a NTSB recall years ago since these tires have been around for some time. Your issues might have been more from your particular driving habits and might not have just been the tire along with the fact that several tires have the MXV4 in there title and not all are the same. The particular tire I purchased even come in two speed (94H and 93V) ratings each with different and distinctive UTQC ratings which is directly related to the rubber qualities that are used in that tire. The Primacy MXV4 94H tire is cheaper than the 93V and is not rated as high by consumers as the 93V which is the specific model I purchased. I noticed a night and day difference in the quietness and much improved ride quality immediately. I guess this just shows that no matter how good a product might be it will always have it's opponents when opinions are taken into account.
My only point in mentioning this tire is that while more cost effective alternatives in tire selection are always available, Michelin in general rises to the top in many tire recommendations and the LTX MS/2 along with the Primacy MXV4 are two that I have done recent research on and now have hands on experience with albiet limited at this time. Furthermore being readily available from places like Costco, Walmart, and Sears just to name a few is not something to be discounted when choosing are particular tire since with the wide spread use of temporary spares especially if one is traveling should be IMO a significant consideration in a tire choice.

The OEM were V rated and I had to SLOW WAY DOWN (to below legal hwy speeds) in the rain due to the hydroplaining issues. I am glad that the 63 people you sited were happy...hardly a representative sample.
