Michelin vs Toyo

I have been comparing the Michelin XRV (235/80R-22.5) to the Toyo M154 (245/75R-22.5). The Michelin is about $900 more expensive. The local dealer claims that he can get them in about 2 weeks (I had a concern about their availability). One dealer claims that the Toyos are a good tire, but ride more harshly than the Michelin.

Could I hear from some folks that switched to the Toyos about their experience?

Thanks much.

  • Have used Toyos on the front for some time. I believe we are on the third set up front. Compared to the original Michelins, the Toyos ride better have less squirm.
I do not run Toyo or Michelin tires on the rear. I have been using Double Coins on the rear.
  • Put on Toyo 295 80 "s to replace Michelins of the same size, that were timed out when I bought the coach .. Didn't drive on the Michelins far but I really cant tell the difference FWIW had several people tell me The Toyo's were great tires as are the Michelins but They also added the Michelins were way over priced

I replaced my 275 impossible to keep balanced Goodyear's with Toyo and was very pleased with the ride and the price on a previous MH. Make sure you let the dealer know you want tires built in the last several months.
