We ran into the same thing when we were looking. Some rigs were just down right disgusting. And my theory is if they didn't take care of what you can see, they didn't take care of what couldn't be readily seen - (mechanical maintenance).
We kept looking and found a really nice, clean, well cared for unit. They are out there.
It just takes time and patience to find them.
I said the same thing about ppl not taking care of things. Crazy. We had friends looking for a boat that they could live on, about the same time. They ran into the same thing with boats.... so it's not just rv'ers.
