If the screws come loose, the walls delam, mold develops etc, perhaps the manufacturers share the blame here, not just the owners.
I'd say half and half. The build quality issues certainly contribute to the owner getting behind on the upkeep. I'd say many new buyers are not realistically preparing for what maintenance and upkeep is involved. Then when the newness and excitement wears off, stuff goes downhill.
