Mileage on used class A

Anything 2016 or newer will have the 6 speed transmission.

Motorhomes are not like cars. Most people don’t put a lot of miles on them. It could be either they didn’t use it much or they lived in it fulltime and stayed put (this can usually be determined by the interior condition). I probably put less than 1000 miles a year on mine anymore but I do start it once a month and run it through the gears and pump the breaks a few times and run the AC. I would do my usual through look over as I would any vehicle no matter what the mileage is. Spend a little time looking at things, engine, trans, tires, under and over the whole unit. Even if you don’t know what you are looking at you can still usually spot things if it doesn’t look right.

As has been stated, low mileage on motorhomes is quite the norm. There have been many, many threads on here and other RV forums about someone looking at older coaches with very, very low miles on them and, wondering if they should walk away or not. Some, actually advise against purchasing a low mileage rig specifically because various reasons. Low miles simply means LOW MILES, PERIOD! Any car/truck/motorhome/motorcycle/space ship/submarine etc. that is of age, AND has low miles, is no big deal.

If you do a decent inspection, engine run-up, drive, all systems check out, body, tires, and all that, and it all works great, then you're gonna be fine. No one, I mean NO ONE can predict any form of break down on a new or old rig, high, medium or low miles. You make your best judgement and go with it.

We purchased our class A at 10 years old with only 35,000 miles and that was 9 years ago. 19 years old now and we still only have 54,000 miles on it. And, we have never regretted this purchase Ford V10

We purchased ours at 7 years old a 9800 miles (39 hours on generator), interior looked unused. We were and am concerned. However, as the months roll by, we feel more and more fortunate that we found exactly what we had hoped for.

My Haulmark is 2 years old purchased new currently has 132,000 miles on it, but I did purchase it to travel, as oppressed to sitting in a RV Park.

The key to any MH purchase is how it was maintained while it was being used and how it was kept when not in use. If left sitting out in a field between very infrequent uses, that is not a good thing. Perhaps rodents could have gotten inside or been nibbling on the wiring. The same coach that spent it's time in covered storage would probably be in better condition.
Some things on a MH deteriorate based on mileage and some just based on time, like belts, hoses, and tires.
When looking for a used coach, check the records and look for one that has been regularly serviced and stored under favorable conditions. Also keep in mind that the past weather issues may mean coaches are for sale that have water damage. A complete thorough inspection by a mechanic and an RV specialist should reveal any issues.

Well just look at yourself. How much time do you have to travel each year and how far do you want to drive in that time. How far do you want to drive on a weekend? Yes this can change once you retire or find a way to work remotely from the road.
My standard plan is to drive my "mobile condo" to a new location and use the toad to explore the area.In the year range you are looking at you should have few problems with anything worn out. Just keep in mind tires are only good for 7 years from date they are made. You will have annual maintenance regardless of miles.
