Silvercorvette, you didn't say what your price range would be but one thing that I wanted to point out is that a Prevost coach might fill most of your desires.
Liberty combines the black and grey tanks with one tank adding a grey water bypass. If allowed, I can open the grey water bypass and the water will exit under the coach or I can attach a hose and run it where ever I need to put it. Our holding tank is 189 gallons. Fresh water is also 189 gallons.
We have a 235 gallon fuel tank. At 54,000 lbs., we average about 6.5 mpg.
10 yr. old Prevost still look new in many cases. They have a safe and robust chassis with real front and rear bumpers. They have no steps that pop-out as all the steps are on the inside. There are no screen doors or door awnings (a compromise of a Prevost).
2005's or so would list for about 499K-599K. Check out Prevostcommunity.com in their 'sale' section to get an idea of price, years and amenities. Slides came out in early 2000 or so. These coaches offer a 20,000 lb. towing capacity.
Good luck on your search.
MM.
Thank you ever so much, I never heard of Prevost until you mentioned it. It fits into my budget and seems to be exactly what I am looking for in terms of range and capacities. Most of my guns were bought as an investment and I always intended to sell them if I needed money but I have developed an attachment to a few of them. If I sell the house, the 2014 Silverado and Alumascape is paid for along with my 1962 and 2014 Corvette and i will keep my 1996 Corvette as toad, keep my four machine guns and a few hand guns plus the money I have saved up I should be able to buy a Provost for $500 K or a little over that in cash.
I hate to keep on repeating myself but I want to thank once again because I never heard of Provost and it seems to be exactly what I need. I can go out and buy a class a tomorrow but it would be a compromise not have the range and fresh water, black / grey water capacity I want. the smart thing to do will be to wait till I sell the house and get a Provost with everything I want / need. If I sell the house and pay cash for the Prevost I can easly afford to pay for enough fuel to drive over 5,000 miles a month. This question was never about being able to afford fuel, my main worry was all about having the ability of living off grid and being able to survive and thrive if I ever was traveling up north and got stuck in a unexpected snow storm that shut down all traffic. It is a comforting feeling knowing that if I ever got caught in a blizzard or was stuck someplace I could sit in my RV watching TV with a full belly and remain warm and comfortable
Thank you again for suggesting the Prevost
