From what I gather about your financial situation you probably are going overboard with a 500k rig. I think a nice used 100k to 150K rig would fit you better. Keep all the rest of your cash to live on. Sometimes people live a lot longer than they think they will! JMHO
I absolutely agree with this statement. Silvercorvette, don't rush into ANY purchase. It is obvious you are not ready just yet. There is no sense in going into heavy debt for a severely depreciable asset.
Take your time, use what you have until your house and cars sell. This will give you an opportunity to read about all upper ends coaches that will fit your budget and you can make comparisons.
John S. is right, Foretravel and Newell should also be on your radar to compare.
You are way too early in the game to jump into a Prevost or any other high end coach until you read and understand their systems. Even if you like the coach that I mentioned, there are many more out there.
You will also need to think about how many slides that you want. Most Prevost's offer 2, 3 or 4 slides, most having just two. You can get pivoting slides (HWH) or Prevost slides that just go in and out, no pivoting. We wanted Prevost slides, you will have a step at the slide. Prevost slides can be serviced, if needed, at the Prevost service centers without getting a middle man involved (HWH or whoever installs the other brand).
Your truck and 5th wheel should get you through just fine until the dust settles.
Take care,
MM.
