The 5.9L Cummins is a good LITTLE engine and will get around 10 mpg in that weight MH. I'm partial to Monaco products and the Dip is a decent slightly above entry level DP. Since you are five years from retirement it probably makes little difference what you buy for the first one as in five years you will probably be looking for something different... you have to start somewhere and rarely does anyone do it on the first try. I always say to buy more MH than you think you need... One time. Good luck and I'd probably wait a couple years before buying so hopefully you'll have a higher budget and prices will be lower on the same newer unit with less miles.
