The "new" Trek was being built as an experiment to see if there was enough demand to warrant going in to full production. Apparently at the time when they introduced it in 2014, it was never received by the buying public to the point where people were snatching them up from the dealer's lots.
There was a Trek that was built by Safari starting in 1991 and later Monaco from 2003-2008 that was unique and of high quality. Those older Treks are still cherished and they maintain their value better than many newer coaches. Unfortunately the new Trek did not contain the things that made the older Treks unique and the potential buyers were not impressed. There were many older Trek owners that would have loved a new version of their old units but it turns out the new Trek was a Trek in name only.
