The original Safari Treks were higher quality coaches and what made them unique was their length. Yet with the bed that's stored up at the ceiling, they have just as much room as a 6 foot longer coach. I just sold a 38 ft Residency but we have just as much or maybe more room in our 32 ft Trek. The drawback and best feature is the bed. You both have to go to bed and get up at the same time so they're not for everyone. We love ours and plan on taking care of it so it lasts as long as we do.
I'm afraid the quality of the 2016 units just doesn't measure up to the original Treks and that the biggest reason they failed to gain acceptance. The owners of the old Treks would have loved to move up to a new model but after seeing what was labelled a Trek, the knew there was no reason to let go of what they had.
