No thanks, I would rather have a RV built on a US MADE Chassis Be it CHEVY or Ford or any of the others.
While Australia has to import their chassis for the RV market we have a large Chassis Building Industry to supply the many RV MFG's all dependent on sales in the US and CANADA and as long as we support that market it will stay strong and continue to grow towards a more efficient and quality product.
I like looking at what different companies have to offer for features... but, I have to agree with you absolutely.
Apologies in advance for waxing political here, but one of my peeves is seeing people in the US refusing to buy domestic vehicles because anything US made is "beneath" them (as opposed to the vehicle being a better use for the task at hand)... and then they wonder why they can't find jobs. The bad old days of US vehicles having poor reliability are long gone, and anything made on US soil is just as reliable as what comes from South Korea, Germany or Japan.
So far, my past two vehicles I own have come from Michigan, and most likely my next RV will have its chassis from Ohio, Wentzville, or KC. Not that brands from other countries are deficient, but there is a point where one does have to support one's domestic economy.
