Mother in laws

Don't turn me off yet. I have always said that an RV is only big enough for two people. We have a two month trip planned to the Midwest in Sept.-Oct. My wife is having second thoughts because she is uncomfortable about leaving her mother for that long. Her mother is 94 and lives alone not too far from us. I've known her mother much longer than I've known my wife. (we've been married 4 years) her mother and I taught together at a school 40 years ago. She is still very sharp but a little feeble.

Have any of you taken a parent with you for an extended period of time?HELP:B
